A Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF), Robert M.Ryerson has more than 35 years of experience in finance. He has worked as an independent financial planner since 1993, during which time he has provided estate administration and retirement planning services to his clients. A CFF at New Century Planning in Freehold, New Jersey, Robert Ryerson collaborates with estate planning attorneys and professionals in the fields of mortgage banking, insurance, investments, accounting, and taxation to devise customized solutions to meet his clients’ goals. He also guides clients through the process of settling their estates as a trustee and contingent executor.

Through his work in retirement planning, Robert Ryerson has acquired a deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare Supplement Plans and an understanding of the healthcare costs that his clients will face in retirement. In 2013, he shared this knowledge with the public as co-author of the book What You Don’t Know About Retirement Will Hurt You.

Mr. Ryerson has dedicated much of his career to educating others about financial topics. An experienced public speaker, he regularly appears at seminars on retirement planning. Mr. Ryerson works with The Society for Financial Awareness, where he holds classes on tax laws, Social Security, and other retirement-focused financial topics. He also teaches continuing education courses for Certified Public Accountants.

In recent years, Mr. Ryerson has developed a professional interest in identity theft prevention and recovery. After obtaining his Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist (CITRMS) designation in 2014, he taught a class on identity theft protection at a community college in the Freehold area. Additional research into the subject led him to publish What’s the Deal with Identity Theft, which explains the topic in plain language that anyone can understand. Mr. Ryerson has also shared his expertise with such publications as Fox Business, which interviewed him for an article on the privacy issues surrounding Facebook’s foray into cryptocurrency, Libra. Also maintaining an interest in cryptocurrency, he formed an LLC in 2017 to help clients build their Roth IRAs using cryptocurrencies.
